This is a beautiful desk and is very spacious--it would be quite sturdy except the pre-drilled holes on one side of the desk were about an inch off, so that I could not assemble one side. Tried drilling my own holes but could not get around the table leg with an automatic drill. Carpenter's glue did not help much either. Hopefully it will not need to be moved too often. I purchased this at a discounted rate, so I guess you get what you pay for, but it would have been nice if the defects had been stated online so I knew what I was getting myself into.

I searched for quite some time to find the best desk for my hoome office and settled on the Trestle Style Office because I really liked the design. I was pleasantly suprised at how well it assembled much better than the kind of stuff you get at Ikea. However I noticed within a day or so a few small scratches on it and hadn't put anything on it other than things like a keyboard, mouse etc. Perhaps the occasional plate of food etc,nothing really out of the ordinary.
Now after having the product for about two months there are scratches all over it and I'm very dissapointed at how easily it marks up. I followed up with the company via email asking for advice as to what type of finish I could cover it with or for additonal advice as to how to keep it from scratching. I like the design and went through the trouble of assembling it so do not plan on returning it. I received a reply to call a number for additional customer service and upon doing so the supposed head of customer service was abrasive could not find my email and ultimatley said "What do you want"? I referred back to my email and for advice to keep it from scratching and what type of finish to place upon it. He replied he would ask the manufacturer and get back to me.
He replied four days later stating the manufacturer said there is nothing we can do, don't place things like plates on your desk. Wow that was helpful, and isn't a desk for putting things on... Anyway if you purchase this desk be prepared to get a cover or place some kind of finish on it and also be aware the company I dealt with had horrible customer service and don't expect them to be helpful if you have any issues.

This desk is perfect for anyone. I was looking for a sturdy but not heavy desk that I could put in the middle of my office. I've always bought desks that you need to place along the wall but this desk is perfect for any room where you would like a desk in the middle. Also it is perfect for two people to use. The top is spacious and two people can work on projects together at the same time comfortably. The desk is easy to put together!! I would recommend to anyone.
