Great when mounted with good hardwareDec 14, 2008
By Dale The drywall anchors included with the rack are insufficient for a sturdy mount. Further, the mounting brackets are 30" on center, not 32", which would make for solid mounting directly into wall studs. However, with one bracket mounted to a stud, and the other bracket secured with (not-supplied) toggle bolts (the ones that spring out on the other side of the drywall and are then drawn tight by the bolt), the rack is then steady enough for heavy use.
Good rack, good price, but get two toggle bolts for mounting.

So far so goodMar 03, 2006
By S. Greenblatt Easy to install ... and seems to be working. I wouldn't recommend hanging very heavy stuff on it ... but for a few light items it seems to work just fine.

Does the job!Aug 30, 2007
By Marquess I got two of these racks and have them on the wall on either side of my washer and dryer. They do not go in and out very easily, but they sure are handy to have right there. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Space-Saving Clothes Drying RackFeb 27, 2006
By Zoomin1954 This is a really neat clothes drying rack. It's telescoping feature is very space-saving and convenient. The quality of the rack was better than I expected and the price was very affordable. It was even fairly easy to install! I definitely recommend it!

Great rack, terrible hardware.Jun 03, 2011
By A twenty-something woman. I love this rack. I live in an apartment without any kind of laundry hook-ups, so I was thrilled to find a simple, small, portable solution. For a washer I use the Haier HLP21N portable, and my dryer-free set-up includes one of these racks for hanging items such as socks, underwear, tees, and washcloths, and two Spectrum Hanger Holders for hanging shirts and pants to dry. Together, they hold quite a lot -- at least a couple of loads from the Haier. I use the telescoping rack with clothespins to really get some extra hanging space out of it.
IMPORTANT: The hardware that comes with this rack is essentially useless. If you have drywall and want to hang more than two wet items on this rack, you absolutely NEED toggle bolts. I have now mounted this rack in three different ways -- I started (foolishly) with the included drywall anchors, which pulled out almost immediately. I then tried some molly bolts, which came out of the wall after two or three uses. Finally, I ordered some toggle bolts, re-mounted the rack, and the third time seems to be the charm.
If it had just come with the toggle bolts in the first place, I would easily give this rack five stars. It's extremely functional, decent enough looking, folds away handily, and seems to stand up abuse pretty well. But without toggle bolts, it's completely useless.
One tip on bolts -- either find screws with flat heads, or be prepared to file down a little notch on each side of the rack (hidden) to allow it to slide past the screw head onto the mounters. There isn't a lot of room there.
