PerfectNov 30, 2010
By Duece Bigelow After reading a couple reviews I was worried about our shoes fitting well and I am here to tell you, worry no more.
The spacing between rows, height, shelves (or whatever you wish to call them) is 4.75" high -more than enough for most shoes.
Width-wise I can get 3 pair of my shoes on one shelf, probably 4 if I rearrange things. If you look at the front legs, each one is 3" wide and the spacing behind do not get used effectively. This space is primarily taken up by shoes that get pushed sideways but it is still 6" of space.
Both of my Asics are around 4.5" high for a Men's 9 and my Doc Martins aren't complaining either. My kids have "flats" galore and each pair get stacked together; fits well over 8 pair.
And the picture does not show using the space underneath as shoe storage either, which is my favorite spot. Kick shoes off, push them under organizer = heaven.
I would recommend anyone buying this to invest in Loc-Tite for the metal hardware. Nuts and bolts always work themselves out and Loc-Tite will keep everything in place because you can't torque this hardware down unless you want to break something.

looks nice, pretty solid, but not enough vertical room for shoes.Feb 20, 2010
By jimjohnson my normal shoes barely fit, touching the top as i slide them in. if i wear shoes that have a slightly raised sole, i have to push them in and risk scratching the leather. theyre not high tops or anything, the rack just doesnt allow for much height. very nice looking though, and easy to assemble. the top part creeks a little when someone sits on it, hopefully it holds up.

This is handsome, easily assembled and adds lots of storage for little ones shoes in a busy household.
A good buy for the money. A practical size and construction.

Item great. Werfurniture bad.Jul 07, 2010
By matthew j criscuolo The product arrived as ordered without damage. However, I was overcharged on the shipping by approximately $12 on this item. I was charged $29.50 for shipping on a product weighing 17 pounds (which according to their shipping policy is clearly off the mark). Werfurniture offered a partial return upon my complaint but would not settle up there debt in full. Werfurniture and other companies on Amazon lower there price and overcharge on the shipping to compete in a marketplace with false pricing. Please weight your packages before opening and put up a fight for your money, even if it's only for $7. Internet companies are ripping people off.
Werfurniture has since upped the price and lowered their shipping on this item. My complaints to Amazon must have turned a few heads.

I LOVE THIS BENCH!Oct 13, 2010

This is perfect for kids who pile their shoes in the hallway or foyer. It's sturdy, looks nice, perfect size. There are more expensive shoe organizers with more space, but for the price and quality, I highly recommend.
